A team of National Investigation Agency and National Security Guard recovered a live bomb at Gandhi Maidan during a post-blast ground-check on Tuesday.
The team found the wired bomb at around 12 and defused it through explosion at 1.05pm.
On Sunday, at least six people were killed and over 90 injured during a serial blasts during the BJP's Hunkar rally ahead of Narendra Modi's address at the site.
City SP Jayantkant said, "More bombs could not be ruled out. All gates to the 62-acer ground have been closed and the people have been denied entry."
The CPI-ML rally is scheduled to be held at the ground on October 30. The SP said, "We are screening the entire place and hope to make it ready by that time."
Meanwhile, Union home secretary Anil Goswami accompanied with Bihar DGP Abhayanand visited the site where Sunday blasts took place.
